Hispanic Town Hall Meeting on Underage Drinking Held in Dover

Marvy Jackson (far left) of Hope House and Marshall Wang (far right) of Morris County Prosecutor’s Office spoke to Dover Township Hispanic community members at a recent town hall meeting on underage drinking. Other speakers that addressed the group were Amanda Lopez of Jersey Battered Women’s Services (JBWS) and Carlos and Ruben Febres of Daytop.

The meeting was part of the Community Trials Intervention (CTI) program, funded by a grant from the NJ Division of Addiction Services, and presented by Morris County Prevention is Key.

The ultimate goal of the meeting is to create community awareness of the problem of alcohol use among youth. Additional meetings on the issue of underage drinking will be held in Randolph and Pequannock Townships.
